To the FGDimmer users:
Soon, KC will be releasing a new FGDimmer plugin with the automatic Vixen updates.

This plugin has an additional radio button setup option:
PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) or AC Operation.

With PWM, 1% from Vixen will turn on a channel 1% of the time and it is linear from 0% to 100%. This is the current plugin configuration and this is the default configuration.

AC Operation:
I have been working with o-scope traces, visual observations, and one output connected to a set of 120VAC mini bulb incandescent light string. In a completely dark room, the bulbs glow very very dimly at 8%, below 8% they do not glow at all. The FGDimmer WILL turn on the triac 1% of the time and I verified this with a o-scope trace on the 120VAC circuit. 1% to 7% is not enough power to make the lamp glow. This caused the lamps to go dark prematurely, the AC option plugin corrects this problem. The same is done for the end of the curve. Also since the FGDimmer uses the entire 360 degrees of of the sine wave, there was a "pause" in the middle of the sine wave and the new AC operation plugin option corrects this pause.

The plugin should be out very soon. If you don't want to wait, shoot me a PM.
