CNC Modeling Software

Hello,
I have a quick questions about modeling custom props to be able to be cut on a cnc Machine. I was wondering what modeling software boscoyo studios or gilbert engineering uses? I have searched for a bit but I just can't seem to find it. I am mainly trying to weigh my options on software at the moment, and I am trying to find out what software would work best for me. any help would be appreciated!

You can get a makers license of Solidworks for $48/yr. Once I retire/leave my job, where I get it for free, I'll easily pay that.

IMO, a hobby license for Fussion360, I think they call is Fusion now, is all you need.

I use it for design and modelling for my CNC router and 3D printer. On the CNC side it has a tool path generator, so from design to G-code output all from one package.

I've modeled in both Fusion 360 & Solidworks. I prefer Solidworks more as a software but SW is expensive.
You would be better off with a free & open source 2D CAD software.

Even a vector image processor, Inkscape, could do. Inkscape allows you to draw and place holes at a set interval. Then export as DXF for your CNC software.
