My wife found a Mr. Christams at a garage sale earlier this year and I just couldn't help myself. A couple of weekends ago I cracked it open and now I have 6 blinky channels and 6 Vixen sequences programmed. I'm already looking toward next summer to build something a little bigger. It IS a gateway hack!

Awesome - - that is a great introduction to DIYC - Welcome! I've seen some pretty decent shows with low channel counts - just think - it will more than likely be better than that *#)($@ neighbor's light setup!

Im a newbie I know, and I know this thread is old, but I keep reading about this setup with the mr christmas lasoc, and was wondering if there was a better pic, or pinout of the connection from the ribbon cable to the parallel cable. Before you tell me, I know its not the best system, and there are better ones, but budgets tight, and this is what I got right now.
