    You will likely need to buy a new power supply, but this is an opportunity to learn a little more about electronics. Some power supplies have a very simple design with not much more than a transformer, bridge rectifier and a capacitor. Others have a more efficient but complex "switching" design with many more components.

    After disconnecting the power supply from power and the light strip, bring it to a convenient work area and open it up. Upload a picture of the components and tell us the manufacturer's name and model number.

    With that information someone may be able to tell you whether repairs might be as simple as replacing a single component.
