Wemos Lolin D32 PRO Terminal Adapter

Perhaps this may be of interest to some.

I was looking for a terminal adapter for the Wemos Lolin D32 PRO. I wanted to be able to easily remove the controller should it be necessary. I was not able to find such an adapter. However I did come across a video where a fellow used a Nano terminal adapter for an ESP32.

I just received a few of these adapters and have tried his method. As you can see from the photo the idea is to cut the adapter in half as it is too narrow for the D32 pins to fit. In addition, the adapter has one less pin socket on each side than the D32 has pins. However, I just let the battery and ground pins at one end float.

The video showed the fellow cutting the board with a utility blade. There was a lot of fast forwarding as it took him quite some time to cut through. I used a cutting disk on a rotary tool. But beware, there is a lot of dust so you need to wear a mask and eye protection.

This second photo shows the D32 on the terminal adapter.

Isn't there an "adapter" board so you can connect a Wemos Lolin D32 pro and the lights together? If anyone has a link, it would be appreciated.

All you need is a null pixel without a pixel / f-amp etc connected within 10cm of the device to level shift the 3.3v gpio to the 5v needed by the pixels. One per port.

Thanks for the responses. I was hoping that a board would be available. While it may be not be complicated to do one, that is not something I am experienced with, so it probably something that I will put on the back burner.
Thanks again.
