Help!
I have three (3) Ren32 controllers that have worked fine for 5 years with a USB to RS232 converter.
This year I built six (6) LCC16 ver 2.0 and none of them are receiving data using that same USB to RS232 adapter. I have pins 4 and 5 of JP1 jumpered. The Stat LED does not blink when I send Vixen data. If I send the same data to the Ren32's, they work, so I know the data is being sent by Vixen.
I noticed on the build document, there is no mention of the clock oscillator, nor is it shown on the final assembled photo (attached here).
I have an ECS R160ENX crystal installed on these boards. Is that correct? Should I remove it?
I flashed the PIC18F2525 with the firmware labelled RPLCC16_04252015.
What else should I try? Should I use a USB to RS485 instead?
Beyond frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
