New Starbursts

I remade my starbursts for this year. The old ones used ropelights which weren't bright enough.
The new ones use led strips which may actually be too bright (if there is such a thing).

The stars are 3d printed and the dc ssr enclosure and all the mounts are too. I think this turned out pretty well and setup should be easy. On setup I'll only need to plug in power and cat 5 cable to each star.

Great build and design . Hats off !
You said dc ssr , does this infer rgb strip not pixels ?

Looks great!

Do you have more info on the build?
I don't have anything written up (I don't think but I'll look) but I could get you the Fusion 260 files if that's what you're looking for.

I could also write something up on it, let me know what sort of details you're looking for and I'll get all the information together for it.

Thank you. They are all running white led strips. All cut down into small strips to make the shape of the star.
How did you cut and splice the LED tape? What method did you use to prevent the strips from burning out? In the picture, I can see two wires coming from each section, but I can’t tell if you used resistors. Also, is each section of the star made from one meter of LED strip?

The LED strips I bought are cuttable at every 3 LEDs. So, I designed the size of so that each needed strip falls one of those cut lines. So, they are all just connected with 2 wires. Then I just put the supplied plastic covering over them an filled the end with silicone to keep the water out.
