Default I'm in love with the SuperBowl half time light show...

Wow, just amazing. The lights look like LED tubes, horizontal seems to be about 12' or so. but from a distance in the sky shots it looks amazing....

Now how to scale that for my yard

I thought they were really great too. Of course I was thinking about how many channels the whole setup was. LOL

It was a cool show. How when you're doing something like the SB halftime show, you don't spare the expense. These were probably commercial LED strips fed with a video feed, not unlike what MPH and JEC are doing with their stuff.

It was definitely neat. And how many (besides myself), by a show of hands, thought for a moment "I can sequence better than that!"?

Oh, and I hate to say this, but wow did Daltrey and Townshend look horrible.

Yeah - but at their age (~65) and after all the stuff they've been through over the years they actually look pretty good!

The lights were cool though - there seemed to be quite a bit of resolution to them if you look closely.

Personally, I enjoyed the light show much more than the performers

Having recently gained this obsession, it was my first experience enjoying and trying to think through the lightshow more than listen to the performance

It really was amazing.

Hi:
Yeah, the light show was great as long as you turned down the audio. I can't figure out why the Super Bowl Halftime people always pick some act that can't sing. They can scream and yell a tune, but they wouldn't know a note if it jumped up and bit them on the lips.

Hey budude, are you talking about the singers or the players?

To put it in perspective...assuming they used versatubes, here's someone selling some used ones...

http://www.solarisnetwork.com/item_3319

80 tubes, with controllers: ~30K...and these are the original tubes...I'm guessing they used the HD ones for the superbowl show...
