What you can do is get a Serial card like the one you can find at MJPA, link below:
http://www.mpja.com/prodinfo.asp?number=12765+DC Or you can also get a USB to Serial converter that you can find online. An example would be like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ADAPTER-CABLE-SE...item5ad94ae1d0 After you get a couple of new ports in place it's just a matter of making sure you have the plugins selected in Vixen.

I have one of these and this is much more reasonable.

WoW! thanks for posting that little gem Chuck that got me drooling. I didn't know that there was a much cheaper card! COOL!

I tried the USB to serial connector method first and it was a waste of time for me.
If you have a PC for your show computer with an open PCI slot you are better off getting a MOXA multi port when they come available.

Last year I was having problems with Vixen and 'access denied' errors (someone please correct me). Others commented that they only see that problem when using USB to RS232 adapters, so I went ahead and purchased a cheap ($12) 2 serial port PCI card for this year. Hopefully this new card will clear up that error. Monoprice has them for a buck cheaper, but I can't recomended them any more. They've screwed up 4 of my last 11 orders - 3 were missing stuff, and the last one they sent wrong stuff. |

During setup I usually have the same errors. I can't really explain why it happens though. A reboot clears things up.

For me, a reboot fixes the problem for a random amount of time -- 1 day to more than a week. Then it shows up again.
