    Default 24v quick question

    Hey guys,

During the year i converted all my 24v ssr's to 240v for work, i now need to change them back to 24v and can't remember what ohm resistor to use.
Can someone tell me what ohm resistor do i need to us for 24v operation of the ssr's?

    Thanks
    Brenton

330 Okm for 240V, 33 Ohm for 24V from memory.

    David's spot on

33R is fine at 24v, anything from 22R to 47R will work

actually 120 ohm will also work - I used it on my 595 powered stripboard SSR's for last year & they dimmed ok, but were a little scratch at low dimming levels, but on/off were great

The Math suggests 33R for 24VAC, I just use 180 ohm as it was easy to standardise.

    I use 330 ohm for both 230 v, 12 v and 24 v and they work great

I found that 330 ohm on 24V was a hit and miss setup - some worked perfectly, some worked but would not dim, others flickered but would not light properly
