Default Noobie - but very happy....

Hey, I just really want to thank everyone here for their graceful kindness and support of new people such as myself. I fired up my display this evening for the first real run of test sequences and people started circling the block just to see it! It is a very small display with only 40 channels, but this is the most fun I have had with a long time!

I have been doing networking and internet type work since the UUCP days when you had to have a telebit modem just to move the email once daily, but I have to admit, while I use the internet daily, I have never seemed to connect with a group such as this.

Today, I am thankful for all that God has given to me - my life, my family, my friends. And this year my list of friends has grown significantly - to include the entire DIYC community.

Thanks everyone! As each of use begin our displays, I hope that the infectious joy of the flashy-blinky Christmas lights will bring a smile to your faces just as it did for me this evening!

    I second (third?) that emotion!

Welcome, very glad to hear of your success!

By the way, 40 channels is in no way a small display. It's probably 40 more than anyone else in your community has!!
