Thumbs up LOR / D-Light plugin available to test

    Hi All,
I'm happy to announce that I have an ALPHA version of a LOR / D-Light plugin available for testing. I have done some minimal testing on it, and I'm sure there are bugs, but I wanted to get it out there for everyone to test and comment on.

    The plugin is available here:
    http://picsil.com/vixen/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2

There is also a forum there for comments and discussion. Please let me know what you think! I'll add features and make changes based on your feedback.

I've updated the LOR/D-Light plugin so that it is now multi-threaded, which should result in smoother playback.

Please check it out and let me know what you think.

    Hey redifo,

That's good news, I guess I can try it with my LOR setup this evening to see how it works.

    I'll keep you posted

    Ted

I am relatively new to Vixen so please pardon me if this is a dumb question.

I put the LOR driver file (reidfoLOR1.dll) into the following directory:

    \Plugins\Output

I then started the new sequence wizzard. When I got to the Output Plugin Setup I selected the "Setup Plugins" option, then in the 'Sequence Plugin Mapping' screen I did not see a listing for LOR controllers there.

    Have I missed doing something?

    Thanks for any help.

    Tom

It should show up as "reidfo LOR1 Device" in the plugin selection. What version of Vixen are you using? I've tested with 2.5.0.4, but if you're using something different I'll test with that and see what happens.

Ok, I just looked into this some more. It looks like the plugin interface has changed some with Vixen 2.5, which is what I have developed this against. I will look into the changes required to support older versions of Vixen and hope to have something ready tonight or tomorrow. Until then if you want to try it you should run Vixen 2.5.

    Ver 2.1.1.0.

I just found the 2.5 release and will try it with that one.

    Thanks

I just recompiled a version of the plugin that should work with Vixen 2.1.

You can download it here: http://picsil.com/vixen/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2
Both download links are here, 2.5 and 2.1.
