Default Who has the designs for all these boards ??

Who has all the pcb designs for all these ??? The 595,grinch,and all the ren designs that are available from the ren 8 to the ren 64 ???I'd also love to see the schmatics for these if not the pcb designs..As the Wiki doesn't show enough of the schematics for the upper end designs like the ren 24 or the ren 64 ideas...
    Thanks
    Joe..

P.S. I'm simply looking as I know I need a combo of boards to accomplish my ideals but which way to go...Simply to a: make the best use of my money (since I don't have that much) and b: so I can see which is going to best suit my display needs and power needs..
    Thanks
    Joe..

Well. i guess the short answer to you question is the designs are with the designer.

Some people publish the designs, and some do not.

All of the current renard designs are based off the original ren-8 design that never made it into large scale production.
so they are all variations on the same thing. the 2 main dfferences are if they are onboard SSR's or not and the amount of outputs. they will all be multiples of 8 as the Pic chip used on the original renard uses 8 outputs per chip.

I hope that helps a little but if you want the schematics you will have to telk to the board designer. that is if the schematic even exists. i know some boards were designed from the board level and not from a schematic.

Like Peter says, the PCB designs are all over the place, there isn't any central repository. Whoever did the original PCB layout for any given board has the design files, plus whoever they may be using as a backup.

    Hey Joe,

If you want to dim I would not consider the ren c and grinch set up. Dimming for the grinch was a second thought and was first designed for on and off only. If you whant 64 channels of dimming the ren 64 would be a good choice but understand this is not a contained unit with ssrs. It's just a controler. The ren 8, 16, & 24. Is all contained with the ssrs built in with the unit. But all these units are designed to dim. As you saw on the other post you saw the bazookas at the base of my mega tree. That's the ssrs with the cat 5s comming from the controller. (grinch, olsen, ren 64 what ever) I'm replaceing them with 2 ren 24 which means only 1 cat five to one and out to the other. The ren 64 is good if you need small moduals around the yard. Here's a picture of my ren t ren c and grinch with a 4 channel pod (ssr) set up. If this is your first board and you want to dim. stay with the renard boards. If you want to be modual. (ssrs seperate from the controller) go with the ren 64.
    Man I need spell check!!!!!
