    Default Mountng an SSr

A couple posts down I was asking some questions about mounting some SSR's in a PVC box for my application. Well I have come to realize that the basic idea has stayed the same, but with a few adjustments. Instead of all the relays being mounted on the back wall (space issues) I need to mount some of them on the side walls. Now my question for you is since I can't drive screws through to mount them (can't get the drill in there) would there be an issue to use some silicone and glue them down? Should I just hit the mounting holes with a dab or run a couple strips across the back side of the PCB?

You should be fine. You could just glue stand-offs in the box, then screw the pcb to them. Then you could remove it easily for servicing.

You might also think about a right-angle drill attachment - if you have a Harbor Freight anywhere close by, they aren't very expensive at all, and once you have one, you'll find all kinds of uses for it. That is, of course, if you'd have enough room for one...

    Right angle drill attachment

Menards and Lowe's have them, also.

    Just a suggestion...
