DIYC Calendar

I will be organizing a DIYC 2008 calendar. Each month will feature a different picture of one of our display.

* Each page measures 11" x 8.5"
* Measures 11" x 17" when hung on wall
* Full bleed dynamic color
* 100 lb cover weight high gloss paper, wire-o bound
* January 2008 - December 2008, 2009 preview, US holidays marked

All you have to do is take a high resolution picture of your display, once it is up. Then submit the photo to me via email, the file should be of the highest quality you can take.

"What kind of files can I upload?
Generally speaking, JPG and PSD files work well for files that are anywhere up to 10 MB in size.

TIF and PNG files work well for images that are up to 4 MB in size.

For images that are above 10 MB in size, we strongly suggest using only JPG files.

What size should my image files be?
JPG files can be up to 10 MB, but files over 7MB in size can cause your internet connection to time out.

PNG files can be up to 4 MB."


The submission cutoff date will be 01/01/08. After that day I will go through all the submissions and select 13 from them. You will then be able to purchase the calendars online. This is not a way for me or DIYC to make any money or offset costs. It is just something to make us all have a vested interest in thsi site, OUR site!

This will also be a great way to show your support for DIYC, even if your display did not make the calendar. You can have a nice memory of the 2007 Display season and tell all your friends and family that you know the creator of each and every one of the featured displays.

Are you looking for day or night pictures? And also, pictures of setting up or pictures of the finished product?

I would guess the final setup at night, or dusk, with the lights on static.

It is winter here at Christmas but I still wear a T-shirt. I wear T-shirts year round! I can't stand long sleeve shirts!!!!!!!!!!! If you think about it the temperatures inside are generally warmer during the winter than they are in the summer. Obviously if it is cold outside a coat can be worn. But inside I like to be able to get back to a T-shirt so that I don't overheat! My point is that no justification is needed for having T-shirts.

I NEVER wear baseball caps.
