I see the Linux prompt in the Rasberry B+, but not the BBB.
I have a used Raspberry B+ I bought off of flea-bay last year. I tried to load FPP and I read that if I get to the login screen, you were done. However, I don't see the GUI that I have seen on the forum and videos (loading screen with 3 Rasberry pi logos, a status bar showing the progression of FPP loading). Entering "FPP" in a web browser after you get the Linux login, supposedly is all you need, but It didn't work. When I entered the IP address that the Pi spit out in the Linux interface (192.168.1.....)I was able to get into the FPP site, but it doesn't have the setup for the network from what I can see. I do see the UI name and password setup options as well as the setting up a Remote, and if you are using a hat. Should I re-format the SD and try again?
Also, when I tried to load the BBB (brand new) I can't even see the display output. I am beginning to think that I have a bad micro HDMI to a regular HDMI cable (brand new) or the BBB has a bad HDMI micro port. Has anyone had problems with the BBB display port? I need to check the pins on the port to verify. (The pins don't look out of sorts on the cable or port after looking).
