Thanks Phil, found the fire videos. By the way, my Xmus Renard boards all still work perfectly. I'm pretty sure I still have the little 4 channel test board that you sent out at a Renard proof of concept test. I'm not sure looking back if I should thank you or curse you for getting me into this ha ha ha.

I contacted Ray but he reports he can't ship via boat unless package is at least 30kg. That explains past posts stating that pieces of brick were in the box. Contacted Paul Zhang too and got a similar response. Big lots give good prices and can ship boat but lower numbers either ship from the US (Paul) or have high shipping. I can get almost the same prices via folks like Wired or Wally. I'm going to just wait it out a bit and see where things go.

So buy 30kg of stuff. Shouldn’t be hard in this hobby.IMO, Ray and Paul aren’t the guys to go to for a couple items here or there. Just order from Gilbert Engineering or Wired Watts for small orders. “Small” is relative, of course, but a few cents per pixel over a few hundred of them isn’t worth the trouble. But customs lengths and thousands of pixels—different story altogether.
Ray’s water freight is still pretty fast. When I ordered a few hundred P5/P10 panels from him they still showed up within 2-3 weeks and save me a boatload of money on freight. FedEx and DHL are nice, but this early in the year they’re overkill. But more than once I’ve ordered from Ray in November and he has come through for me.

Yep cost is relative particularly when you have kids in college ha ha. Plus water shipping didn't save that much amazingly.
