LED Panels / LED TV's
I'm considering putting up a panel or TV on this blank wall. It's a Sunday school room and I'd like to do, well, I'm not sure with them! I know there's got to be some really neat displays I could create on either. But I don't fully understand the capabilities, limitations, pros & cons for each. If anyone has an opinion on either, or can point me to a link that explains more, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

One important question for you is- what is the main intention for use? This will determine what equipment you will need.

That's a good question!!! Scrolling messages, use in a Christmas type display. I honestly don't have a set idea. But I've seen them on larger outdoor Christmas displays that I'd liek to bring it indoors but obviously on a smaller scale.

A TV with an RPI would be the most versatile instalation.
2023 - 1 new song. Taking a break from expansion.
2022 - Not sure yet. At least two new songs.
2021 New Tune-to sign. New 40x27 matrix at the house. Retiring the Strip based matrix. Updating some of the old window frames to the new house. Adding two new songs.
2020 Full sized show reworked for the new location. Only adding (famous last words) 13 RBLs that I finally got converted to using pixels
2019 - Just moved into a new home (yet another change of plans). Will be dim but not dark. Too much to do at the new place to leave time for a show. Dim show (3000 pixels) had regular visits most nights.

The FPP guys were decent enough to build support specifically for it, and that’s now part of the current FPP build.
Candidly, though, the viewing distance is insufficient for LED panels to look good.
