    Default SPT Wire

This is my first post as i am new to some of the new tech etc. Last year was my first year using SPT-1 wire instead of all the extension cords. What a difference. My question is, can the Vampire plugs be reused and moved to different spots of the wire. If it can do i need to tape the old spot where the vampire plugs were used?

    Thank you in advance

You can reuse the vampire plugs (up to a point). Just make sure that the "teeth" are straight and clean if you reuse them. They can get bend over when sliding the cover in place if you are not careful.

I use liquid electrical tape to seal up any old points where plugs were on the cord or if the cord is nicked at some point. You can find the liquid tape at any Lowes or Home Depot or many hardware stores and is available in black or green in most of them.

Just be aware of staying with one style of vampire plug and wire once you get started (spt-1 or spt-2) as it can become a real nightmare if you mix the two types!

Unless you pick one to carry pixel wires and not vampire plugs at all.
