So it seems I missed the bus on Falcon controllers for this year and was looking forward to building a mega tree. What would be the I cant get a Falcon so i will go with _____ controller?
Looking to control 16 strands @ 100 per + possibly a topper(haven't picked one out yet) but would say 2000 pixels total. Would like to continue to use X-Lights as I have a few other small
items already set up. Not a lot of experience with pixels but do have a basic grasp on them and not afraid to put in some time to learn more. A little help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

We are using Kulp controllers and they have been great.
Wired Watts has them.
Or directly from Dave himself: Kulp Lights
Other available controllers but we don't personally have experience with them are available from:
Wally's lights, experiencelights.com, and mattosdesigns among others.
Some people entirely use ESPPixelSticks (or the equiv WiFi Pixel Controller) to run their mega trees and Xlights to do the animation. Fairly inexpensive, simple, robust and flexible.

You could go with a Kulp Lights cape for the Pocket Beagle. Daniel Kulp is one of the creators of the Falcon Pi Player. His stuff can be found @ https://www.wiredwatts.com/controllers
Or you could go with SansDevices controllers. They are a bit older but, I think they can handle 12 universes in Unicast mode which can control 2040 pixels. I have these running my show and I've never had any problems with them. You can get them fully assembled or solder yourself kit. https://sandevices.com/shop/

I was fortunate to score one of the new controllers from experience lights, a lot like a falcon but with a few new features. Might give it a try but I can say it has been tough for those guys to keep up with orders too. Good Luck.
www.experiencelights.com check out their genius line of controllers. (Note: I got permission to link from the folks at experience lights)
look at the dig-???? line from quinled. they recently got a new shipment of dig-quads. i have a few of them and they work nicely.
2022 - Not sure yet. At least two new songs.
2021 New Tune-to sign. New 40x27 matrix at the house. Retiring the Strip based matrix. Updating some of the old window frames to the new house. Adding two new songs.
2020 Full sized show reworked for the new location. Only adding (famous last words) 13 RBLs that I finally got converted to using pixels
2019 - Just moved into a new home (yet another change of plans). Will be dim but not dark. Too much to do at the new place to leave time for a show. Dim show (3000 pixels) had regular visits most nights.
