    Default Kulp16A-B Total Pixel Count?

Manual states 800 pixels at 40FPS per port. Does this mean RJ-45 marked 17-20 can drive 3200 pixels? So If I have 1 smart receiver I can have 4 ports of 800, if smart receivers daisy chained they all share the 3200 over their ports. Are there any restrictions on how I split them? If I add a differential expansion board does this add another 4 ports of 3200 pixels? If I getting this the total capacity is 38,400 pixels, 12,800 local, 12,800 on 4 differential ports and 12,800 on the expansion port. Or have I got this all wrong

    thanks

I asked this question in the Xlights zoom room. RJ45 17-20 gets 800 pixels apiece. If you daisy chain it, each channel 1-4 has to share the 800 pixel bandwidth for all the chain. i.e. 17A+17B+17C has to add up to <= 800 pixels. To my knowledge, the differential expansion boards don't really apply to Kulps (but smart receivers sure do).

Ok so the restriction is at the port level 800, not the cumulative 3200 from each RJ-45. If you cant use an expansion board on the 40pin connector, what can you use it for?

I think the expansion boards are for Falcons. Was this something you could order on kulplights.com? Is it the new K128 thing?

Kulp K16-8A-B has 16 local ports (fused with LED indicators) that can each drive 800 pixels (with power injection) at 40FPS (1500 at 20fps)

The expansion board adds ports only. The existing 16 ports shares its pixel output capability with the new 16 ports - Software selectable.

See Wiredwatts.com for board - use Falcon board on Kulp
