Could some one share a simple Vixen file with just a couple of servo moves?
I used Vixen along time ago Vixen 2. But I have been using Xlights the last few years. I am looking at Vixen again because I am looking for a program that will control Servos with a joystick or game pad and record the movements so they can be played back in a sequence. Also I need it to play back 8 Channel wave files so each of my props has its own speaker with its own audio. I am hoping Vixen can now do this?
If not then I could use the program I am writing that can do both the Joystick/Game pad input and 8 Channels of audio. But the editing of the data in my program is not very good it just displays 10 channel of data at a time that are stored in a large 2 dimensional array on a 10 channel Flex grid that you can change the values one at a time. So I was thinking I could use my program to get the Joystick input, export the Array (it is a 2 dimensional array Frame# and channel# with the value . Put that array into a vixen file, load the vixen file into Vixen do some editing and than write an import function to bring it back into my program for play back. So I have been looking for a simple Vixen sequence with just a couple of servo moves. So I can look how the information is stored in the file. I have looked at Xlights I can import face timing tracks from Xlights and also dat. Files from Papagayo, But it looks like it would be more difficult to import and export servo data in Xlights. So I am hoping it would be easier to do with Vixen. Thanks

I'm not aware of any function for this in Vixen, I don't think it has the notion of servo moves. I suggest if you have Vixen installed you add a couple of single colour nodes which correspond to two sequence channels. Re the available effects you could use the Custom Value filter to output an exact value, the set level filter to set a % 0->100 or the pulse effect to change a value over time according to the curve you define (0 to 100% which translates to 00 to FF in the associated byte). These would correspond to two byte outputs in your controller. You could add the 'debugging controller' to your two channels to verify the outputs. Then it would be a case of looking at the sequence data and reverse-engineering it. I don't know how straightforward that would be, possibly super tricky.

It's more complex than sharing a file since the file belongs to a profile which defines your overall setup - also I can only attach images to posts.

Vixen has a face mapping feature for controlling outputs based on text (it 'reads' the text) but I haven't used it personally.

Someone else may have some better thoughts.

I remember using similar algorithms when administering slot machines for casinos. It was really effective. But it was also important for ordinary players to make sure that there were reliable slot machines. And it was also important that the promotional offers were and amenities for beginners. In general, it was necessary to provide for much, the same free slots, without this no way to attract players to the game. By the way here https://pokiesman.com/free-pokies there is a list of casinos where this system already works, you can check for yourself.

This has been done. You might read this thread to get you started. I used VSA and a Joy Stick to get my heads programmed to move and xLights has a section devoted to DMX and Skull movements. Its been a while since I programmed in VSA, but I know Ctmal was working on some stuff a few years back and got it working. Read through his thread and maybe do a search on here and you will find files here and on the WIKI. Good Luck!
    That's a feature not a bug.
    There's no charge for that.
