Yes indeed - I had already done that this year. I have 4 x RGBW moving head spots and 12 x RGBW floodlights, so the patching wasn't too painful in this scenario. Each was patched twice as you mentioned.

The RGBW feature was added in support of intelligent fixtures or moving heads. This moving head support is still in development, we have not included it in the development builds yet but it should be released later this year. If you have the channel specifications for your fixtures, it should be much easier to integrate them into Vixen and sequence the fixtures with these new features.

I have my setup running now. New rgbw pixel pucks running on ESPixelstick with v4 and the latest Vixen dev build. It works great! I was wondering the same thing about the white handling. Just using a simple set level effect to test, I can choose any color and it works as expected. When choosing white I get the warm white from the 4th LED only, also as expected. I am curious though, is there a way to also get cool white if I want it without doing the 2 line method described above? I tried stacking set levels of R G and B thinking maybe that would just blend to cool white but Vixen outsmarted me and activated the WW LED instead. I would like to have the ability to get a cool white for some effects if possible. Cheers!

Having the ability to allow Vixen to pick the white intensity most of the time but on occasion being able to specifically select a white intensity is interesting. I am running a possible implementation by the Vixen leads.

Sounds like fun. Let me know if you need something tested.

I don't think my idea has legs. If you guys feel the RGBW color support can be improved, I would suggest you write a ticket (https://vixenlights.atlassian.net/jira/projects). I don't want your ideas to be muddied by my interpretation of them.
