The play and stop buttons for controllers in display setup control whether that output controller is enabled or disabled. Generally you'd have them disabled while sequencing and don't need them, and enabled when you're testing on the lights, or if using the built in scheduler.
When controllers are enabled, they are constantly refreshing their output streams regardless of whether there's any sequences actively generating data. So in general, if nothing is playing, all configured outputs will be sending zero for each channel.

Ok here is what i missed. from controllers in display setup control, clicking on the output controller then play button and ok button. This window runs in the background, i think.
Also the order you patch the elements is the order of the output.
I haven't dusted all my light equipment off yet so i don' know what my elements will look like. I did play around in vixen 3.8 and like a lot of the features.

Thank you for making all of our shows happen !!!
