Default espixelstick - first pixel 3rd output always on

hello everyone, I don't know if it has already happened to someone but the first pixel on the third output of an ESP32 with espixelstick code is always lit red.
I'm trying to reproduce a project I saw on the forum, two concentric stars (six pointed) with starburst.

I connected to pin 2 a small 36 pixel star, to pin13 the big 72 pixel star while the starburst is configured on pin 13 and in espixelstick with 108 pixels

in vixen I have 216 pixels patched with 648 outputs

    six universes of 108

as I turn everything on, the first pixel of pin 13 remains lit red.
I turn on the small star pin2: the first strip of WS2811 lights up without problems but the red LED remains.

When the big star pin12 is accented, the red remains.

I turn everything on, the red goes out

I turn on the various rays of the starburst one by one, the red returns

    if anyone has any tips
    thanks a lot

Are the universes being used anywhere else? Why are you using 3 channels, you cold just use one.but looking at that seems ok

    hello mat-moo
i am not using other universes, on this pc (which i use for testing) it is the only configuration in E1.31.

I wanted to try three channels just as a test. Next year I have two / three groups far from each other and I can't do it with just one channel.

For this situation I will actually make only one channel, as the pixels are not exaggerated (there are only 216) and they are all clustered.

That pixel on the third channel, however, is strange, unless I have some configuration wrong.

I made 108 universes to have one on the first channel, 2 on the second channel and the others all on the third. Maybe this is wrong, maybe I should do two of 324 or 1 of 512 and the second of 136 ... tomorrow I'll do tests like this too.

Do you have your terms correct ?

    1 Universe is = to 170 pixels .

    170 pixels = 510 channels.

    The Esp32 has outputs .

The ESPixelStick V4 software defaults to 512 channels of data per universe. You can send 170.6 pixels by setting the channel count to 512. You just need to make sure both the sender and receiver are using the same number of channels per universe.

2021 New Tune-to sign. New 40x27 matrix at the house. Retiring the Strip based matrix. Updating some of the old window frames to the new house. Adding two new songs.
2020 Full sized show reworked for the new location. Only adding (famous last words) 13 RBLs that I finally got converted to using pixels
2019 - Just moved into a new home (yet another change of plans). Will be dim but not dark. Too much to do at the new place to leave time for a show. Dim show (3000 pixels) had regular visits most nights.

for your information ... as Mat-Moo initially said it was correct.

I tried different configurations but the problem of the led on ... remained
among other things at some point, only the third output, the leds went crazy, all random colors.

I decided to update the software on the ESP32
with update of the ESPixelstick, everything works.

    with the initial configuration:
    PIN2 36 pixels
    PIN13 72 pixels
    PIN12 108 pixels
channels per universe 108 (in Vixen 6 universes of 108)

everything is great ... colors and pixels respond to the program

    thank you all
    Graziano
