Default Tiwsted Strips / Strip Storage

So I guess I stored my tree strips wrong and some of them are twisted. I think I could use the heat gun to make them pliable and twist them back but wanted to see? Also wanted to check the best way to store them to avoid this? I'm assuming rolling them would be best?

I didn't roll them, rather kept them zip tied to the topper in a tupperware bin, but that clearly didn't work so well.

    Thanks

They won't come back from being twisted? I have some left over actually but want to expand my tree next year anyway so buying more will work.

What about storage, would rolling them be better?

I've been rolling mine for quite a few years and have never had any issues with twisting. That would be my recommendation.

I roll them into flat coils. Twisting hasn't been an issue for me.

Thought so, especially since the come on rolls. Chalk that up to first year problems and learning curve!! It still looks okay as is but I'll definitely replace the twisted strips for next year.

I left them twisted on the pole one year and had very uneven twisting. Subsequently, cut them off the topper and hung them in the garage over a single hook. So now, I have a little bow mid-way through but no twisting. Hang them from the rafters in the attic this year and they will be fine. No need to replace them.

Great I'll give that a try as well, got nothing to loose. Maybe the heat from being in the attic will force them to straighten out as well.
