    Default EMT vs PVC

Planning on hanging lights on my gutters next year. I see a lot of people using PVC and EMT. PVC is cheaper, is there a benefit EMT??

I use both on my home. PVC works great on gutters and fascia, as long as it is supported every 3-4'. EMT works great for verticals as it does not require intermediate support. I also use the 'Chromatrim' from Boscoyo Studios to mount the pixels in. The Chromatrim zip ties to the PVC/EMT.

If you're in a warm climate, you need to support the PVC more frequently, especially if it's in direct sunlight.

Hey Popo - I thought you moved to Idaho?

The Chromatrim, if used, adds quite a bit of support to the PVC.
