    Default Looking for recommendations on which Arch base to print

    More upgrade planning;

    Anyone out there recommend a 3d printed Arch base that has successfully survived the cold northern winters?

    I'm using 1" pex for my arches.
    Cheers!

    I drafted up a down and dirty one for 3/4" pex that I have used for past 3 years....
    I'll see if I can dig it up, do you have a measurement of the OD of the PEX? If I find it, I'll modify the top hole to fit 1".
    The one I use has a hole through it for 1/2" EMT to brace it and another in front to attach to other side.
    I slide the EMT out for storage.
    I'll take a pic when In get a chance.

    The O.D. is 30mm (28.95MM), so 30 will account for print shrink

    There are a few versions on thingiverse. The only issue with the one below which I really like is that the 1" was just upscaled but then the EMT opening is upscaled too and now I have to adapt the 1/2" EMT to the larger EMT opening. I asked the designer if they could remodel it to 1" for PEX and 1/2" for EMT.
    Also, having the Single and Dual is of benefit.. Really cool stuff..... I just got my first ever 3d printer and can't believe I haven't had one before, now this hobby makes it more practical.

    I have had a 3D printer for 4 years now and have never tried to print any of the arch bases because you still have to get a piece of EMT or PVC or something to keep it spread at the correct distance. There will be a lot of pressure pushing and pulling and putting stress on the plastic and then you have stake it down. I have been using a 2 X 3 with 1 X 2 legs that work great.
