Default The #1 upgrade fro the Ender 3 Pro

Hands down is the PEI bed . Forget the springs or the upgraded tubing etc .

I tried for 3 hours to get a level bed setting for a complex print on the standard bed magnet .
It cannot be done on the bed alone, an impossibility.
I swapped the PEI bed off of my 2nd machine and voila everything is right with the world .

The stock bed really can turn a person off of 3d printing just from its grief .

So, IS this the bed that comes with a brand new ender 3 PRO?
Did you buy this off amazon?

I read articles like this one and then get very confused:

Best thig I did to my Ender 3 is a Borosilicate glass plate, fixed any levelling issues. Others here have used glass or mirrored glass plates.

How does the glass fair with warpage on heavy builds ?

The bed that comes with the Ender 3 Pro is the black soft magnet . The metal-PEI coated bed is and extra upgrade . Yes purchased from Amazon .

Haven't had any warpage. It does take a while to cool and get the build off, it stays warm for while.

No war page and one it cools it slides right off . You can. Hear it crack and pop as it cools like an alarm letting you know itís ready lol

Let me revise the Title of this thread .

Forget the #1 Upgrade , this bed should be standard not an upgrade .

To be blunt , these machines stock are Junk. Yes Junk !
These machines require every single upgrade that is mentioned in many many posts-threads & youtube videos out there because they are Junk sold from China .

The term Pro added to Ender 3 is a real joke as there is nothing pro about it .
If you purchase one of these printers do all the upgrades before ever attempting an unsupervised print or realistically and thing that you want perfect quality .

The final straw for me was that the stock filament feeder is worn out and at the worst possible time . 15 hours into a 17 hr print. Absolute nonsense that a part wears out and its not 2 months old .

That all said (mad as heck) I can see that these printers could be fantastic with all <- And I mean all -> repeatedly suggested upgrades .

Fortunately I had heeded these suggested upgrades and ordered most of them though I did not know how important they were until jumping into 3d printing full bore without researching . My bad .

Be warned by this thread . upgrade everything as to not be let down or disillusioned by the stock Ender machines.

Ah I feel better now ....... Like Clark after his big rant...sack a monkey........ I need a tylenol !!!!!

    Happy printing

Extruder replaced and all is right with the world for now

Odd that the extruder drive wheel in the original has 2 set screw holes but only 1 set screw used . The new extruder uses 2 .
