Default Vixen DevBuild 999 to FPP 4.4

To start, my Halloween show went off great w/o this issue. So, after added the rest of the display, I only tested two/three songs and all looked great. The Halloween and test was probably done w/ DevBuild 991-994. Last night, I have two issues, when I uploaded one specific exported sequence, and addd it to the playlist - it showed the time as all zeros. Which meant that when I reached that song, the playlist went into a loop to the beginning. Removing the song from the playlist solved the loop. Still do not know why it displays all 0000 in the playlist. Issue two, more dramatic, all songs seem to be out of sequence and the lights flicker. See video. To validate, I then connected my PC and sent the playlist out from Vixen and I had no issues.

Issue 1; This has been fixed with the latest update. Download the current version and you'll be good to go

Issue 2; Did you happen to have Vixen open while you were playing the sequences in FPP?

Ok - so export from the released version and NOT the latest Dev Build. - doing that now.
Nope. Only FPP ran the show.

    - Updated Vixen and FPP to the latest versions, I re-exported all of the songs and I still have the issue. Regardless of what I play, a 30 second clip or a full song, the RGB lights flicker and try to perform the patterns - like they have a mind of their own.

Understand that only FPP is running the show, From what you describe and the Video, was Vixen open at all? It is always sending to the controllers unless you disable them in your Setup Display, or have the PC on a different network.

Hmm, I cannot say - one way or another. Tonight, I will test this theory and respond.

    Thanks for the assistance.

Did you say you were also having an Issue w/ the sequence lagging behind the music? I noticed that on mine too but was able to fix it by going to the Advance FPP settings adding a delay to the Media\Sequence setting of -1000ms (still tweaking)

Mine too. I always had an offset in FPP, but i discovered a recent FPP update had set the offset back to 0. In my system, I found -350 to be very close to perfection.

The problem that we fixed for FPP export would not have caused flicker. That would have caused sequences to not play at all. It had to do with some bad math in calculating offsets in the fseq header in certain combinations of channel counts. (rounding error) FPP couldn't validate the file and would therefore do nothing at all with it. You wouldn't have seen flicker.

I did. It have a chance to test anything today-rain kept me away. Someone suggested that I may have had vixen on my PC on, not running a show, just on and that may have caused it. What is frustrating is that I can get about a half a song in before all goes to hell. Then it never recovered.

So, today I unplugged the PC and I only have the PiCap running and thus far, the "light only show" is not blinking to cause nausea! At 6pm, the lights w/ music starts and I am hopeful.
