    Only V+ and V- travel from one pixel to the next and touch ALL of the pixels at the same time. The data wire is a point-to-point connection between the sending pixel and the receiving pixel. The worst you can do on the data line is cook the pixels directly attached to it. See picture below. Did you have the controller attached to the badly wired pixel? You may have cooked the output buffer.



    2020 Full sized show reworked for the new location. Only adding (famous last words) 13 RBLs that I finally got converted to using pixels
    2019 - Just moved into a new home (yet another change of plans). Will be dim but not dark. Too much to do at the new place to leave time for a show. Dim show (3000 pixels) had regular visits most nights.

    Yes the controller was connected. I was doing a test to make sure they all worked.

    Thanks for the comments. You all were correct. It’s all back up am running now. It just fried the first pixel. Thank goodness.
