    Default MTM Ammo Enclosure Question

Has anyone used the smaller MTM ammo cans (https://www.mtmcase-gard.com/product...o-crate-50.php) AC3C to house a 350 watt power supply, a falcon smart receiver and distro board? The interior looks to be 6x11 and 7 in high. I figure I can lay the power supply on the bottom and build a shelf for the receiver and distro board. Thoughts? Would be a nice small box to place throughout the yard close to props.

    Thanks.

I use the MTM 30 ammo can with a 350W PS, Distro board and PixelStick. I am using the JDeation designer tool and cutting it out myself in my shop.

I would think the MTM 30 is plenty large for you, but you can try laying it out using the design tool. If it is too small then he has other size case designs as well.

I use this one from Amazon
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I use it with a differential receiver and 5V 22 amp power supply, enough to power 200 pixels (50 per receiver channel).

Then, if I need more power, I use the same box without a differential receiver for just a 6 port power supply with a 5V 60 amp power supply

You can check out this video, it will show you how i do it in more detail.

Thank you for all of the replies. This has been extremely helpful in confirming that I'm on the right track. This is my first year getting into pixels so for the last few months I have been studying as much as possible. I decided on a Falcon F16 and a 4 port differential to reach some props a little father away. I'm building my main F16 box from a larger ammo crate but wanted something smaller to fit a power supply and receiver so I think the smaller ammo crates should work just fine. Thanks again.

Here is another thread that might be helpful. These are enclosures I built this year for my receivers.
