    Hi

There are only 2 connections to this transmitter usb for input and the antenna .
Once you have HiFi-FMT open and your usb connected , right click on the Speaker Icon in Windows and select Playback devices
    You should see in the list { Speaker VASTint/FMT - 212 Transmitter }
You will need to select it and Set it to Default Device !

I just looked at my FMT-212 and there is also an Aux In. I go PI>Sound Blaster Play 3 via USB>FMT-212 via 3.5mm cable. I power the FMT-212 via the USB port. The image below shows my Control Center which also connects to my Ubiquiti Loco M2 to broadcast to my show. All of my controllers are wireless this year.

    2012 - 1st year 64 Channels - 7500 LED lights - 5 sequences
    2013 - 128 Channels - 10,000 LED lights - 7 sequences (2 New)
    2014 - 201 Channels - upgrading 8 Arches to dumb RGB - 8+ sequences (1+ New)
    2015 - 240 Channels + 8 Universes - sequences TBD
    2016 - No Display
    2017 - Back in the Game - 240 Renard Channels + 12 Universes
    2018 - 256 Renard and 9 Falcon Outputs of Pixels - 16 sequences shown over 2 nights

Wow . my apologies , I did not realize that there were variants of this model
I purchased this as a backup back when they were becoming obsolete I believe from this forum or DiyLedExpress .
Only used 1 season while waiting for a replacement Transmitter to arrive .

Angus 40 thanks for helping a guys that has no clue what he is doing. I have done all of this. It's hooked up to my computer. Now what do I use to broadcast it across the radio in the car. I feel this is a dumb question but I've always been told a dumb question is one never asked. i have plugged up a set of headphones with a mic but still no luck. Thanks again....Larry

    clpd7,

Just asking because the info is not in this thread, what kind of antenna do you have connected to the transmitter, and what freq are you trying to broadcast?

I have found the Sound Blaster greatly improves the audio quality of the system, and output from the SB uses a 3.5mm connection. There is an Excellent Video from the Virtual Christmas Summit on Transmitting Your Audio on YouTube. I would recommend anyone who would like to improve their audio quality should watch.

I see , being that you are using an external sound device it makes sense .
I would think that your Vast would work solely by usb directly to a PC also .

I am sure it would, but I have been convinced that this is a better way for me to go.
