Default Will Square Pixels Fit into J Channel?

    Hello!

I was thinking of using pixels in J channel under my eaves. My question is if square pixels will fit in the J channel or if bullet pixels are the best for this. So far, I've only seen people using bullets in the examples I've seen, but can't find any info on whether or not they'll even fit.

I did some searching on this topic and couldn't find anything, so sorry if this has been covered before and I missed it. Thanks, all!

Put a square pixel in your pocket and go the -h-a-r-d-w-a-r-e- -s-t-o-r-e- I mean grocery store that also sells jchannel. Pick up the ribs you need and stop by the siding aisle and stick the pixel in the trough. Be sure to report back on your findings!

I’m not quite sure what to say to that response.

i suppose I should clarify, I don’t own any square pixels so I can’t pocket one to take there. I’m asking this question to try to figure out what will be best to purchase. I’m thinking of using 5/8” J channel.

Aahaa! If you don't own any yet, just buy bullets.

All kidding aside --- Most J-Channel isn't big enough to allow square bulbs to fit into them. (There are exceptions.)

Will they "fit?" It depends on your definition of what "fit" means. You can get anything to "fit" if you push hard enough....

I used 3/4" Transition strip (the vinyl trim that goes between horizontal to vertical siding) for many years.

switched to 1" (1/16" thickness) aluminum angle last year
    Cheers!

So yes there are square pixels that will fit. In fact I got some extra short ones from Ray Wu so they would have a low profile and then I could slide the J-channel around the trim of my windows.
