SLow but making progress with things. Still waiting on a roll of white PETG to try a globe. I have to do some other things for a couple of days but will work on it when I can.

I would be interested in the gcode you have come up with as well if possible? Always helps to be able to compare different settings for things. Guess I will have to get a .8 nozzle to try as well for better speed.

Are you using brass nozzles or steel? I have been looking at getting some steel ones although I am still using the stock brass one so far.

Got the print times down to :
Unsupervised print : 4.5 hours for bulb 4 hours for base

    Supervised print : 3 - 4 hours for bulb
(By supervised I have found I can almost double the speed at certain points in the print and slow back down at the tip )

And they are actually turning out a bit better than the oringinal 17 and 8 hour prints previously done .

That being said I made many of these in trying to get the print times down and quality up so If anyone is interested.

Well, I finally got around to trying out PETG for these globes. Seems to have come out quite nicely actually. I used MaterHackers White PETG filament running at 240 on the head and 80 degrees on the bed. This was at 80 for speed using a .04 nozzle. I have a .08 nozzle that I will have to try and see how fast I can get one of these printed. This one took just over 12 hours.

Nice how does petg work with light as for transparency?
