Default first year doing my own

I have purchased a mega 2560 and some SSR boards for 48 channels. my issue is Im using xlights so i can run videos and my seq thru xscheduler together. i will be using my laptop to run the show and i only have ac lights. I have searched the forums and could not find a code for xlights. is there anyone using xlights and arduino? would anyone be willing to share their code?

I'm not familiar with xlights but what sketch are you using ? I use vixen lights and the sketch I'm using works fine I just set it up as a generic controller http://doityourselfchristmas.com/for...th-Random-mode

xlights, vixen, lor, pretty much irrelavent. What serial protocol are YOU planning to use to go from the show player to your controller? That drives the sketch and the settings on the show player. It sounds like you may want generic serial (I would suggest the renard protocol but...).

2020 Full sized show reworked for the new location. Only adding (famous last words) 13 RBLs that I finally got converted to using pixels
2019 - Just moved into a new home (yet another change of plans). Will be dim but not dark. Too much to do at the new place to leave time for a show. Dim show (3000 pixels) had regular visits most nights.

That is the code I plan on trying if there is no other one for xlights just to see if i can modify and get it working. I just don’t know much about the coding

Taht is part of it. What protocol are you going to use on com3

I am just starting to learn xLights and have not tried to connect my Arduinos yet but I understand that there is a controller option that you can select that will output the data using the Renard protocol. The controller type would be USB with the Renard option selected. I will try to perform some testing within the next few days. I have to assume that the output data stream is compatible with Renard based controllers, so, I may be able to use one of the sketches that I had posted on this site that will take a Renard data stream and control AC or DC lights from an Arduino MEGA. You can find the sketches here - http://doityourselfchristmas.com/for...article+renard.

If you beat me to the testing, please report your experiences here.

Good choice. The Renard protocol is more stable than the generic serial protocol.
