Default Power distribution to pixels ?

    Hi guys,

this may be a simple question for you, but I'm new to that business.
So, what do you use to distribute Power to your pixels?

Assuming you have a Megatree with 18 strings, each 50 pixels and you inject power each string. So, in the end you would have 18 pairs of wires (V+ and V-) that need to be somehow connected to 3x V+ and 3x V- at the end on the PSU.

So, any best practise to split the power somehow?

    Thanks a lot.

    You need one of these

10-Way Blade Fuse Box [LED Indicator for Blown Fuse] [Protection Cover] [100 Amps] - Fuse Block for Automotive https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QMULSUI..._kFHbEb8PSF4E5

You can connect 1 v+ and have 10 v+ outs

Then get a terminal strip for the v-

    5 Pcs Dual Row 8 Position Screw Terminal Strip 600V 25A + 400V 25A 8 Postions Pre Insulated Terminal Barrier Strip Red /Black 10 Pcs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DY73N2C..._HGHbEbBG4XP6A

I did a similar setup (pixel count) as what you are talking about but in a pixel grid. I did runs of 170 pixels with power injection at the beginning and the end of the strings. I only needed 12 outputs for v+ and v-. I used a 750 watt dell server supply to make sure I had sufficient power for the grid

I don't run power to the strings from the power supplies. I run power from the power supply to the controller board (using a heavy gauge wire) and I use the connector that plugs into the controller to provide, +, -, and data to the light strings.
