The main damage seems to be to the sled rail. It broke right where the crossbar connect the two rails. Any tips on how to fix this? Some sort of plastic welding? I doubt I could buy a replacement part from anyone.

What about a small metal bar attached with bolts to the back to strengthen the rails again and then glue around the damged crack do it keeps it together

Not sure "which" plastic that is. One thing to think about is plumber's glue, for PVC pipe, along with a good PVC cleaner, actually "welds" the PVC together. Done properly, it usually can't be broken - or at least I've never been able to get one apart that I did "the procedure" on. Not sure if it will work on that plastic or not.
