Default What Color code are you using to get "soft white" in Vixen?

I realize this question has many variables, like pixel type, power output, curve etc. But I've never been a fan of what I call "led white". That blue-ish white when Led's first came on the market for Christmas lights, and they couldn't emulate what the white incandescents looked like. At least not for anything other than icicles Assuming ws2811 bullets, anybody have a good color code or preset they can suggest that looked a little more like Warm white/soft white (also known by it's rough color temperature designation of ~2700 Kelvin). I know it's also subjective, but haven't had much luck myself. The colors in the picker seem to be way off what actually displays. Not the wrong color, this isn't a color code thing.

Set the rgb value for the temp value you desire then adjust your dimming curves to suit .

Thanks for the color table angus40. One of those things I didn't know I needed till I used it.
Interesting that there doesn't seem to be a "255, 255, 255" in it - at least not one that I found.

My apologies, my browser was showing zero responses until I opened a new window, even after full refresh

I'm trying to expand this chart to include "names of colors" for each of the Kelvin temperatures. Does anyone have the color name to degrees K chart?

This was very helpful. It should be put in a reference/wiki section IMO. Thank!

This table isn't an absolute gold standard. It's depends on the color temperature of full white on your pixels being very close to 6500K. I've got some pixels that are cooler and warmer than that, so the offsets are different depending on the starting point.

Sure - but it is still a good starting point to get close... better than nothing. A disclaimer could be added with that additional detail.
