    Default ESpixelStick Firmware Version???

Which "Stable" Firmware are you guys using for your ESPixelSticks? I have to program 4 of them tonight or tomorrow and I was just on Forkineye for the firmware and there are a bunch that say Travis-CI build. Are these the one everyone is using or are you guys using the ESPixelStick v3.0 Firmware (by Shelby)? I have 5 of the original V2 ESPixelSticks and on the only one I flashed last year was I used the original v2.0 Firmware.

V3.0 is the latest releases version. For serial usage; stay with V3.0....I have not seen a change there. For most pixel users, V3.0 is also the go to version. But, if you are wanting the latest pixel added features (brightness control, ZigZag, etc) you will need to venture into the Travis versions which are all pre-release. I ran my show in 2018 with Travis, without seeing an issue. Since then, I have been keeping up to date with the Travis releases for both testing and using in shows. I find no issues with Travis for my applications.

This is going to be my first show (hopefully) I am just running roof outlines, vertical house outlines, window outlines, garage doors, & front door. No trees, snowflakes, etc. (those will be my addon's for next year if this year goes well).

My plan is to use 4 ESPixelSticks with the amount of pixels per stick ranging from 130 - 250. It is literally all outlines. If this information is at all helpful. Thank you for your input and suggestions

You should be fine with the V3.0 released version. If not, you can upgrade via the WEB: Admin Screen. With my Laptop, it's less than a minute to upgrade.

I made a post about the current state of the firmware and where it's headed here - https://diychristmas.org/vb1/showthr...irmware-Status. Basically, you're good on 3.0 unless you need the newer functionality. I ran the October Travis-CI build for Halloween and experienced no issues. Lots of changes coming soon.
