There is some cool silver grating for fluorescent lighting that may work with coro backing !
Welded wire building cloth or Garden- plastic coated wire mesh .
This may sound stupid... But what would one call the type of sign many use for their tune to xyz FM signs that is often made up of lights pushed through holes on a grid? The term peg board and litebrite comes to mind, but I can't for the life of me remember what to call that grid base. I mean sure it's kind of a matrix, but most I've seen use standard led lights in a set shape, not pixels. Peg board is kind accurate but the holes I think are too far apart. I was thinking of 3d printing some pieces of that, but can't find a damn thing when searching since the terms bring up unrelated content

I have no Idea . I use a matrix , sorry !
Not sure what it's called, i use the same method. I outlined the letters and drilled the holes needed into the recycled elections sign painted black. I don't have a picture of it.
Perforated ?
