I use BUD boxes but I cover them with garbage cans that look like Christmas presents. My controllers are never subjected to the outside liquid elements.

Paint them flat black. They disappear into the display at night.

How are you guys securing the mounting boards to the Ammo Crates? With the CG boxes I screwed into the internal standoffs. But the ammo crate doesn't have those and I'm worried about water intrusion if I just screw directly to the bottom... I was even looking at the Jdeation solution but it looks like those just screw into the bottom as well...?

I make an L shelf out of wood and mount it to pound in fence posts. Secure the ammo crate to the shelf with a bungee..

Four carriage bolts through the bottom of the ammo crate, one in each corner. Each one is properly sealed (silicone), and a washer and lock-nut on the inside of the box to hold them in place. The bottom plate of the interiors are then held in place by these. No water leakage, even with some gully washer rains pouring on them last year.

You could always toss in a handful of silica gel pellets.

for my ammo boxes, i am putting a piece of 3/8" plywood in the bottom, then stand offs from there to get the controller on top of the power supplies. Still working through it, but seems it will work just fine. I can lift the whole thing out of the box - until pigtails are connected.
