Default Straightening up my AC led mini strings

I have not made the switch to a pixel display and may not for awhile . I know most here donít use ac lights but figured their may still be someone out there who do. I personally donít have a table saw or big shop . But Iím very good at making do .
Those mini strings I use lots to outline my house edging of walls and C9 for roof edge but always hated how the lights pointed every which way . I wanted a cleaner look without a cajillion zip ties , and come up with an idea which may or may not have been used before I havenít seen anything yet so here it is to share...

So I rigged up my circular saw as such
And on the pvc end I made this holder with about 1/4Ē marks

Saw has grove just enough to fit 1/2Ē pvc and saw I put 2 blades on it for wider cut
Then I place all on garage floor and install 10í section pvc in holder and mark

The board on holder keeps pvc straight as I slide through the saw after first run pull back out and turn 1/4Ē to next mark and make second run .

Snip off the end next to holder and you have a perfect straight cut.

C9 is for one pass with saw and 2 blades
Mini lights 2 passes about 1/4Ē gap final .

Wow, that is great ty. I have been banging my head on the wall trying to figure out something with out zip ties. Did wood frames and already am regretting it. This just might be my go to.

Lights should slide right out (mine do )for easy take down if gap is not to tight .

If you have a portable type drill press this set up should also work to drill holes in a straight line down long stretch of pvc if you donít have a jig set up with pin thingy .
