Default FPP - changed external storage option - now can't contact fpp

I was trying to connect to my controller through the RPi. this worked a couple months ago. I had FPP open, and noticed all my files were not loaded. I went to the status page and seen the external storage was not set to USB. I changed it to USB, hit reboot, and now i can not see the FPP again.

Any ideas how to see it again?

there are a number of tools that can scan your subnet and tell you if there is a device there. I most recently used. https://angryip.org/
    does it find your pi?

figured out the controller part. I guess my computer lost the route commands i had setup. I had to type them again. Is there a way to make them stay?

If you are typing them into command line, you will need to add the commands to a file so they can be executed at startup. Google How to configure Static route in Linux for Notre info.

If using a Windows PC, include -p in the route command like this: route -p add (then enter all you IP addresses as usual)
The -p makes the route command persistent meaning it will stay after a restart of your computer. Without it, the route command disappears when you restart your computer. There is a similar command for iOS.
You don't need to create a file to launch on start up for this to work.

Ed, i entered it with "-p" at the end? Does it make a difference or need in both places?
    i followed example - "route add 192.168.5.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.13 -p"

I have always done it this way and never seen it any other way.

    route -p add 192.168.101.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.101
