I was talking to Ron and he mentioned a user had shorted out a NIC by having it touch the board.
I had just assumed everyone would be doing this...but what I do is put a small piece of mylar between the NICs and the board. This was something I learned a long time ago when working on old DTS cash registers. The boards would rattle inside the cash register and touch so you would have to install mylar sheets between them to prevent the 2kb memory boards from corrupting.
