    Default AC Fuse

Does anyone fuse the AC side of power supplies? I searched but couldn't find anything. If the input side is fused, where and what do I search for? "Ac fuse" pulls up fuses for air conditioners.

No, I use waterproof transformers so no place to put them.

Waterproof inline fuse holder don't exist, except in the marine world, but then the cost may exceed the transformer. So I thought, I don't fuse all my laptop charger or other wall warts, why do I need to fuse the power supply.....I just make sure all the wiring on the primary side can handle the load until the circuit breaker can trip. No lightweight wiring on the primary side.

I use a combination of the circuit breaker in my panel and GFI outlets to protect my PSUs. All of the cables going to my PSUs are 16A or 20A rated depending on the distance traveled and CB rating. My power strips have circuit breakers in them. I do not have separate fuses on the individual PSUs.

FYI: I HAVE popped a breaker due to a problem with a PSU, so it is a good idea to have some sort of protection in place. GFI has tripped due to water issues when I dont close a Power distribution box properly.

Since a fuse is intended to "protect the wire", putting a fuse just in front of a power supply doesn't do what the fuse was meant to do.
The fuse/breaker at the supply panel is a definite. GFCI/GFCA at the outlet (and sometimes at the panel) are good to protect anyone from accidentally creating a ground path (a.k.a. - getting shocked.)
But at the power supply? We have never needed to do it.

My power supplies already have an internal fuse at the AC input.
