Ok I replaced Serial1 with Serial in the sketch only found 3. I wired the 8 channel SSR board 1 thru 8 to the Mega pins 11, 12,13,14,15,16,17,18 and Gnd

then 8 channel dimmer board pins 1 thru 8 to Mega pins 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18

VCC to 5v on Mega SYNC to pin 2 on mega

Still get nothing. I live in Ohio
    Here's the code
    Thanks Again

Sorry tried to add code (too large) I'll try another way

there are two more places that need to change Serial1 to Serial. Use the "FIND" function under the EDIT menu and search for Serial1, you will find them. Change them and see what happens.

The reason I ask about location is if we decide to call each other we know the time difference.

All you have to do to use ZParticle sketch without those three features is to change the 5 places where Serial1 is called out and replace it with Serial. You do not need to use a switch. You do not need to use the random function.

Kevin, did more reading all the pics of his setup he was using pins 22 thru 53. So I re-did the pins using pins 22 thru 37. Found the rest of Serial1 and changed them ,reloaded sketch now when I powered it up it goes thru sequence and then all led's come on and stay on. and the RX light on mega is pulsing . But still when I run Vixen nothing happens so here's some pics20190302_124006.jpg20190302_124046.jpg20190302_124111.jpg20190302_130052.jpg20190302_130112.jpg

OK. I don't know if your board requires an active LOW or active HIGH to turn on the outputs. But I suspect it is opposite from the board ZParticle used. When it goes through the power on test, do the lights come on one at a time? or do they turn off one at a time? you may need to reverse the HIGH/LOW code toward the end of the sketch.

They turn on lights come on one at a time Then all come on and stay on and when I open Vixen the RX light is pulsing and LED marked L on the Mega is on? . Does the pin connection and location look Ok ? Would there be anything else in the Sketch or pin location.

the power on test sequence sounds correct. But the power on test does not require the zero cross (sync) signal to work. That tells us the wiring is good to the SSR boards. We really don't know how well the sync (zero cross) signal is working at this point. I have a sketch that can test the sync signal but it is in another computer. I will find it and post it here (Can't remember if I may have posted it a couple of years ago).

As far as serial monitor goes, you won't be able to use it unless you use a USB to TTL adapter. That is the reason ZParticle used that device in the first place. The serial monitor can only use the USB port (Serial, not Serial1).
