    Default New Floodight Board

Not sure how much interest is out there for this solution. To be honest, It’s more expensive than a dedicated 10w solution. Those are running right around 5-6 bucks a piece primarily because you can get away with a linear voltage regulator and the drivers are so much cheaper. This is where my original PixiFlood sits, and housings are under 10 bucks.

20w is close to break even in cost if you stay with the under 30 volt driver. 30w is where this truly takes off and everything higher is not even remotely comparable in price. Housing are around 20 or more based on wattage.

This is a under 15 dollar solution for all and additionally has the advantage of an optional wireless controller.

I will be posting an interest post in the next few days to see if there is enough interest to offer a group buy. If there is not enough interest, I have 75 pcbs, that I can possibly make available but not certain of the cost with lower number of volume on component. I could build the boards if desired or make them available in kit form. This weekend I will be posting the eagle schematic and board files for your personal use on github under stampedeboss. FYI, PixiFlood’s have been posted there for quite sometime, the original ws2811 compliant Floodlight.

Let me know what you think........

    Default New Floodight Board

FYI, I do have a version of the 10w PixiFlood with a built-in pixelstick if anyone is interested. It’s been in use in my display for 2 years but I never offer a group buy.

I have a number of pcbs sitting in a box that if you are interested let me know.

Pixelpuppy I got you covered, only question is how many since you’ve pushed me along.
