Default Mega tree against the house

I am thinking of doing a pixel mega tree for an entry into my display next year. I would like to have it up against the house. I measured and I have an arch that is 15 feet at the top of it.. I want to use the boscoyo strips to mount the pixels for the strands.
    I have some questions.
How long of strands would I need to reach the 15 feet at the top of the tree?
How do I mount the strands at the top onto the house? Its Brick and stone.
I am looking at using mounting spikes at the bottom of the strands.

Does this all make sense or am I way off base here?

The Pythagorean theorem will tell you how long the strip should be once you determine the radius of the tree. If it’s a flat tree (i.e. all strings are mounted against a wall), the same process applies, although you’ll have to perform the calculation 1/2(x-1) times, where “x” is the number of strings on the tree. Or just get a ladder and tape measure and and lay out each string.

Regarding mounting, probably a masonry bit and some Tapcons or hollow wall anchor of some kind. A picture of the proposed areas would help, as its difficult to come up with a specific solution in the abstract.

Attached is a picture of my house.
I am thinking about mounting just under the opening in the front.

I am new to all of this. What are your suggestions? Can I go with a rounded or is flat the only option?

This is a really good online calculation to help with tree dimensions

Is the arch in the center the front door?

Assuming it wouldn’t interfere with access to the front door, you could do a 180-degree tree without any trouble—it would be a semi-circle coming out from the front of the house.

Or if the arch is the opening to the front door, you could make a flat tree that people would walk behind to get into the house. You may have to bring flat tree strings farther out into the yard to ensure clearance.

I’d probably anchor it in the window that’s above the arch.

Another possibility is to anchor at the peak in the roof with a hook drilled into the rafter at the peak.

yes its the front door. I can enter the front door from the side. So blocking the entrance to the front under the arch would not be a problem. How would you anchor it?

It’s Texas, so go big or don’t bother, right?

I would probably go all the way to the peak in the roof and put a floor flange up there and bolt a couple hooks into the flange. Then I’d run the strings down to the yard from there and anchor them with landscape nails. Or bolt the floor flange up there, get a 3-foot pipe nipple, screw it into the top flange, then screw another flange onto the other end of the nipple, and then boot on a Boscoyo mega tree topper and use zip ties. Then disguise the pipe nipple with a wreath or star or something.

You could even nail a board with some hooks bolted into it. Doesn’t have to be fancy; it just has to hold the weight.

I would love to go big but the pocket book won’t allow it yet. I will need to build it up over time. I love the idea of the board. I may be able to hang it from the opening and be able to mount a star to it as well.
