Hereís the one I used. Only $7. I did have to sacrifice an old ethernet cable to finish it off though.

You can make a customer adapter to Renard pinout, or use this type of connector:

RS232-DB9-Male-Female-Plug-Connector-RJ45-Female-Ethernet-Adapter You do the pinout rewiring internal to the adapter.

I used to use these before I stare using an e1.31 bridge.

    Ah, now I see.
Yes. Ditto on the custom cable but that's not a big deal.

It claims to use an FTDI chip. That is a solid industry standard chip that got a bad rap a few years ago in the DIY community because some systems integrators and vendors inadvertently used a counterfeit FTDI chip. To combat counterfeiters, FTDI changed their drivers to detect and not work with counterfeits. That left a huge bad taste in a lot of mouths about FTDI (not so much about the counterfeiters). The SI's and vendors took it on the chin for using a chip from such an "uncaring" manufacturer. In case it is not clear, I strongly support FTDI.

Since a custom cable is required anyway, this could be an interesting option. Not required, just interesting.

The one from Renard requires no custom cable.
